Hello Harry, I did not correctly address my reply to you hence the delay.Andrew MCCLIVE (18 in 1881)was born inMaybole in Ayr, Scotland according to 1881 census so that ties in with your Mums recollections.Again in the 1881 there is a Margaret Hunter at 39 Mungo St. Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland (Pottery Saleswoman), she was born in Old Kilpatrick,Dunbarton, Scotland. There is another Margaret Hunter at 49 Hopetoun(yes TOUN) Street,Bathgate, Linlithgow, Scotland, age 19 in 1881, born New Killpatrick( two LLs this time) Netherton,Dumbarton,Scotland.I hope this will fill in a few blanks foryou. I am waiting for the 1901 census to continue my McClive link. Are you in UK Harry as I think further research will take you to Scotland? I am in Devon UK.too far away to be much help
Do you have anything that may help me link up with the McClives? Heres hoping this gets through this time
Cheers, Bob Allmark
