I am a granddaughter of Susan Barrett, nee McClory and the correct address was 48 Cross Street Corrimal NSW.
My grandmother was the daughter of Patrick and Margaret McClory who emigrated from Motherwell Ayre - the house at Cross Street Corrimal was called Doonbanks and my grandmother told me that they orginally lived near or on the banks of the Doon River at Motherwell before coming to Australia. The National Acchive records shows the place of birth of James McClory (my gand-uncle) as Parish of Dalmellington Ayr. - see http://naa12.naa.gov.au/scripts/ResearcherScreen.asphttp://naa12.naa.gov.au/scripts/ResearcherScreen.asp
Patrick McClory died in1938 at Charlestown near Newcastle . Margaret McClory died 1950 at Bulli NSW .
Their son Hugh diedin 1946 ( I think from drowning) at Charletown. Their son James died in 1953 at Ryde NSW Their son Patrick died in 1966 and is buried in Parramatta NSW. You can do a family history search on www.bdm.nsw.gov.au NSW Births Deaths and Marriages list all children of the deceased on their death certificates and it is also possible to do a search under Sect 50 to show all children born to them and registered in NSW.
My grandmother married my grandfather Edward Barrett in 1917 and they had three children all now deceased - Edward b 1919, Imelda born approx 1924 and Mary ( known as Molly) b 1929.
My grandmother purchased the house at Corrimal from her parents when her family moved to Dudley near Newcastle NSW, they also lived at Catherine Hill Bay. I beleive great grandfather Patrick was a miner.
Dad had a maternal cousin, Margaret Reburger who lived at Bega NSW but I am not sure who her mother was, she had two children that I can recall but I don't know much else about her.
