Somehow I think your Minnie Mae is related to my mother, Addie Mae born 1921 in Perry County (Coal?) whose father was James William McCloy and mother was Estella Shipley McCloy. My grandfather, James had several brothers and sisters but I only recall his brother Bob who lived with us for a while in Shawnee and a sister named Lily. My grandfather, James McCloydied about 1950 in Shawnee and my grandmother Estella McCloy died around 1974 in Junction City. The two of them had 8 children I know about, my mother Addie Mae, the youngest and only one still alive, followed by sister Emma, and brothers Tom, Robert, James, and Harry, the oldest. These are all listed at the bottom of the 1920 census for McCloy. At least 2 more children died in infancy. Both James and Estella are buried in the New Lexington cemetery and my great uncle Bob is buried in the Shawnee cemetery. I think that another, Ulyssis (?) is buried in the New Straitsville cemetery. I also recall that there are some relatives named Snyder. I'd like to know more but unfortunately my mother, Addie McCloy and father, Francis Miller separated when I was very young and my brother and I spent most of our youth in the Perry County Childrens Home. Afterwards there was college, Vietnam, more college and 2 decades living in Japan so I'm just now back on track with this. At one time I had my grandfather's family Bible and it listed kin going back to the 1700s in Virginia. Unfortunately my younger brother threw it out years ago. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.
