I am intrigued by the story, found in Leona Austin's book (and elsewhere), that goes as follows:
"John McColl and two brothers came to Canada in 1804 [this date is in doubt] from Scotland. They received land from the Crown and settled in Northumberland County. There was a valley given these three brothers by a Crown Deed which is still in existence."
Does anyone know where this valley is and where the deed can be viewed? And who were the three brothers?
