in 1819 Thomas Mccoll arrive from Scotland and taught in a school he built on his property on "THE TRAIL"
at Brock's Creek - He was called Squire McColl.

This from a newspaper WEST LORNE SUN on 22 June 1967.

In the article mention was made of Alex C. McColl in 1919.
