LeRoy, I googled "Jonathan Neer" w/quotation marks, and a Rootsweb message was the first item that showed up.It references a deed abstract. CLARK COUNTY, OHIO - DEED ABSTRACTS .... Nathan NEER, et al. to Andrew B. RUNYON, February 25, 1846; $500, E 1/2, SE 1/4 Section 21, Township 6, Range 10. Nathan NEER and Mary Ann his wife,
Enos NEER, Sr. guardian of Joseph Hill NEER and Hannah NEER minor heirs of Amos NEER, deceased. May NEER widow and heir of Jonathan NEER, deceased,
all of Clark Co., and Michael COUCHMAN and Elizabeth his wife of Champaign Co., Ohio, all heirs of Amos NEER, deceased. Volume X, page 100. ... NOTE it says May not Mary, but came up on a Mary search...
When I searched the name Mary McConkey on the LDS and the Ancestry.com sites, there is a feference to a Mary McConkey who married a Jonathon Neer as well as a Mr. Lafferty and a Mr. Allen, but no dates (other than her birth date) or other information are given. It looks to me as if someone has taken the LDS info, added it to their tree, and posted it to Ancestry.I have emailed the submitter, but received no reply.Since I have frequently found that much LDS 'info' is not correct, I will use this as a possible lead, but no count this info as solid until I can find some record that this is MY Mary.
