Karin, It sounds as if the family you are talking about may be my ancestors, too.Eliza Adams, born 1817, (d/o Eliphalet Adams, born 1775, married to Mary Washburn, d/o Ebenezer Washburn and Sarah DeForest), married John Thomas McCready, born 1811.I found their children's names from the baptisimal records of the Waylan Methodist Church in Thurlow, Ontario, Upper Canada.My grandfather, Edward Daniel McCready, (changed the spelling of the name to Macready), was listed as Daniel Edward McCready.He had a brother named Leif, whom he talked about to my father, Edward Daniel Macready, Jr.If this is the same family that you have the pictures of, I would love to have copies.My grandfather fought for the Union during the Civil War; returned to Canada to teach for a year, and then came to the United States, and never saw any of his family again.
