I have a picture of his headstone if you are interested.Please send me your email address. "The remains were taken in charge and prepared for burial by undertaker Taliaferro. Dressed in full confederate uniform of appropriate rank, his body lay in state at his late residence on West Morgan Street, where hundreds of old friends and comrades viewed it for the last time. The funeral services under the direction of Olivet Commandery, K.T., of which he was a charter member, and Cooper Lodge No. 36, A.F. & A.M., was held at the Episcopal Church Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The Episcopal service was read by Rev. Edmond Neville, of Sedalia, and the funeral was one of the largest in attendance ever held in Boonville, there being many prominent men from all over the state. Telegrams of condolence were received by the family from Senator Wm. J. Stone, Col. John Breathett, Col. John S. Elliott, who is now absent from the city, and Col. Will Zeverly, Mrs. Mary Mass of Dallas, Texas, and others. The following were the active pallbearers: Starke Koontz, Jas. Mitchell, James Hickam, Dr. G.A. Russell, E.N. Wood, Jas. McCutchen.
