McCullough in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Champlain New York

By Kathleen Withrow March 10, 2010 at 11:59:06

John McCullough born about 1755, maybe Scotland.Bought land with Joseph Corporon 1805, Clare, Digby, Nova Scotia. John was the town clerk of Clare in 1798. He had 2 children that I have found, Mathurin Joseph McCullough born 1788who founded Chapel along with Germain Corporon in 1829. John's daughter Euphrosine "Fanny" McCullough born 1785 married Edward Corporon, son of Joseph.
I am searching for any information regarding this family.I "Think" that Edward Corporon and "Fanny" McCullough are my 3x's great grandparents. They left Nova Scotia, according to my 2x's great grandfather's obit, about 1820, moving to the Odelltown area of Quebec and the New York area of Champlain.I have records that show Edward Corporon is buried in Champlain.I am searching for records and information on these two families. I have many possible children of John McCullough, but nothing I can prove...any help would be really great, thanks, Kathy, kwith48@comcast.net
