Dear Maurice, I assume you have found the site: www.cumberland.org
What little I know about Polly, I found in "The Ewing GenealogyWith Cognate Branches".On page 80 it says ....Polly Baker, born April 30, 1794; died May 22, 1873.She married (first) Philip McDonald, of the Cumberland Presbyerian Church, born 1794; died 1815.Issue:Philip Monore, a minister; married and had Molly. She married (second) Barksdale Spencer.Issue: 1. James B. born 1824; died September 16, 1854. 2. Robert, born 1826 died without issue.3. John, born October 20, 1828; married Caroline Porter; no issue.4. Mary Jane, married (first) Mr. Winlock. Issue; Eliza, Mattie, Richard, and Robert. She married (second) Mr. Tinsdale.Issue; William, Wilson, Capitola, mrried Eugene Beauchamp.5. Ephraim Ewing, married and had several children.6. Randolph, married and had several children.7. Martha G., born June 10, 1835; died June 3, 1870.She married William Simmons and had several children.
I don't have anymore then that.I would assume she died in Logan Co. Kentucky. That is where I find her in the 1850 census with Mr. Spencer.
Where did you family live?I believe Molly must have lived with her grandmother or someone in the Ewing family after her Mother died, as she used the name when naming one of her children. She knew of her Ewing heritage.Yet, I can't find her in the 1850-60 census.
