My McEntee people may be related to yours. For starters, this is what I know of my McEntees: My 2nd G grandfather, Owen McEntee, born 1777 in Monaghan Co., came from Currin (Catholic) Parish (southwest corner of Co. Monaghan) to the Canada, then to the U. S., probably in 1820. He married Mary Cassidy in Dutchess Co., New York, about 1832. With his Cassidy brothers-in-law, John and Michael, Owen worked at truck gardening on Manhattan Island, New York City (then the island had much open space) and later on Staten Island, New Jersey. In 1836 Owen and his relatives went to Washtenau Co., Michigan, and each male purchased farm land near Ann Arbor. I am descended from Owen's son John, my G grandfather. My Grandmother Kate Kisling was a McEntee. Many of the Owen McEntee descendants in Michigan today use the McIntee spelling of the surname. Comments?
