While working on the Garrity/Gerritys of Bridgeport CT, I have taken notes on several related families. Here is one such.
This McGarry family consists of an older sister, her brother and a cousin, presumably to the brother and sister.Note that this younger cousin was born in CT, while the McGarry sister migrated (she says) 10 years BEFORE her brother did. (???)
Note also that Nellie is usually a diminutive for Ellen, rather than a proper name in itself. The name of John Garrity's SECOND wife is Helen McGarry
As indicated, Catherine had delivered one (1) child who had died prior to the census. By the 1920 census, John Garrity would be remarried with two living children with his second wife, indicating there was no other child with Catherine. Catherine died in March 1913 and is buried in the "old" Garrity plot in St. Michael's Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
I have no further information at present on Thomas McGarry.
If no data transcribed, that column was blank in the original.
