Deed Book B Page 132 October 11, 1787 James McGaughey (shoemaker) of Rowan County, appoints his friend John Mordah as his attorney to convey to Jacob Nichols, Esq. a tract of land on water of South Yadkin River, containing 320 acres and to Adam Simonton 320 acres of the same tract, joining widow Bailey, Hugh Hall, William Hall, James Hall, Thomas Hall.Signed James McGaughey.Witness:John Mordah, Jr. jurat.Proved August 1791.No registration date.
Then there is another deed, Deed Book B, page 123 which states the exact same thing as above except one name is spelled "widow Baggerly", and was proved August 1794, Registered August 1794.
