Louis Stanislas McGill (Pidgeon)

By David Southwick May 18, 2008 at 07:42:44

I am in search of a decendant of the person who wrote a letter indicating that my Grandfather Louis Stanaslas (Pidgeon), who rumor has was smuggled down from Quebec, Canada abt. 1910 by Levi and Euphinie (Lemaire) Pidgeon and was the son of their eldest daughter Alphosine. The letter is written on paper of the time and ink of that period and reads:
Montreal Canada Nov- 23th, 1910
(Unknown) (Unknown)
The name of my child that I gave to you on the 12th of November is Louis Stanislas McGill.I give it to you for it was the wish of his mother.
A.D or L. B.
W. M. MacGill or McGill
My grandfather was never adopted by the Pidgeon family but changed his name to Louis Stanley Pidgeon. He was left nothing when the elder Pidgeon couple died.It would be great closure for my mother's family to find out who his parent's really were.
Thank you for all the help!
