My GG Grandfather William McGreevy married Mary Ducy29 Sept 1864 in Pike Co., ILRumor has them moving to Kansas where theirson William McGreevy was born Dec 1869.Before 1871 the elder William McGreevy died in Kansas and Mary his wife then moved back to IL and had my G Grandfather James McGreevy b. 1871.It is possible they are related to your McGreevy in Kansas.

Also contact mcgr@chevron.com, he has information about McGreevy's (a father and three sons) from County Roscommon, Ireland who emigrated to Ohio in 1830's.
