JAMES MCGUIRE APRIL 24, 1896
On Thursday morning, at 10:45 at the home of Joseph Graham, near Healey, occurred the death of John McGuire, second son of James McGuire, at the age of twenty-one years. Deceased had hired to Mr. Graham for the season and worked Wednesday morning. He was taken sick shortly before the noon hour and died at the time above stated, from inflammation of the bowels. He was a quiet, unassuming young man, of good morals and was of a retiring disposition. None of his relatives were with him at the time of his death, no one thinking that the end was so near. He leaves to mourn his sudden demise, his father, sisters and brothers besides many friends. The funeral was held this (Friday) morning from the SS. Peter and Paul's church.
