Hi Karen! I hope someone can offer some clues on this.
I have to believe this William who was the pensioner, was buried somewhere in western Tazewell county, most likely in the Cedar Bluff area. His last land acquisitions were in this area and also over the hill in Floyd KY on the Big Sandy where he lived near his brother Rev Cornelius until after 1811 when he moved back to Tazewell county. His will, which mentions Priscilla, lists parcels in this area as well. His executors were friends Chapman Spotts and John Cecil who were also living in western Tazewell county. Anyway, as you see I do not know where he is buried, but suspect it would be in this area as opposed to on the Bluestone way back to the east. (although this land is mentioned in his will). This William, his son William (all my direct line) and his nephew Rev William McGuire were all living and involved with operating mills on Indian Creek at Cedar Bluff. The Bluestone property was located on the "Big Bottom" on Rich Creek which flows into the Bluestone near the town of Spanishburg, Mercer WV. Take care.
