I have some scraps on my family that I would like to tie together. Richard? McHale m Honora (nee Gaughan)- children: James, Martin (possibly 1/2 or step brothers) to Richard and Thomas (twins b. circa 1886- Thomas moved to Rosewell in Midlothian Scotland (?about 1901?) John (known as Johnny the Green boy)Maggie (married Kirby?)and Winnie (m MacDonald?).
John had children Mary Ellen, Richard (b.circa 1912)Thomas, James, Maggie. James had daughters Jenny, Nora and Bridget two of whom are believed to have emigrated to Canada. Richard b c1886 married Annie (surname unknown) and had children Paddy (Big Paddy moved to Wakefield England possibly)and Annie. Annie is believed to have married a man called Burke. Paddy had a child Bridie May.
Many moved to Fife and Midlothian in Scotland to work in mining, and also to Yorkshire in England. Thomas (m Mary Scott) twin of Richard (b circa 1886) was killed in mining accident in Whitehill colliery in Midlothian in 1935 Son Anthony Tony born 1927. Mary Scott's mother was also a McHale and lived in the Barleydene(sp) Rosewell Midlothian. The Scott family had also originated from the same parish in Mayo.Mary had brothers Patrick, Bartholemew (Batley)James and sisters Maggie, Bridget. The dates are all fairly loose as they have been gleaned from my ageing father (Tony) in recent years!! Any info on following any of these lines or any additions- of which I know there are many- would be very much appreciated.
