Fork Vale was near the forks of the Clich and Powell Rivers in Campbell County Tennesee. The community, later known as Walnut Grove, was depopulated by TVA when Norris Lake was built. Around 1925, a Charles McHone shot and killed his wife and her brother in the wee hours of the morning on December 26th. I don't know much about him. His wife, Margaret and her brother, George Stanfill, were buried in the yard of Liberty Baptist Church and re-interned by TVA at Baker's Forge Memorial Cemetery in 1934 when Norris Lake was formed.
