The family of Neil McKechnie (B: about 1750, Kilarrow Parish) and Martha Smith (B: about 1750 Kilarrow Parish) (M: about 1770, Kilarrow Parish) were born and raised on the Isle of Islay, Scotland. Three of the children emigrated to Canada. Five of the children relocated in Scotland while a daughter emigrated to the West Indies. We have a fairly good genealogical trail of the three sons who emigrated to Canada. We are now seeking to learn more of the life of the balance of the family - five sons who relocated in Scotland and daughter who immigrated to the West Indies.
The three sons who emigrated to Canada are: (genealogy fairly well detailed) Donald (b: April 20, 1775 Daill Killarow Parish) to Priceville, Ontario, Canada in 1847. Trade was Farmer. Duncan (b: about 1776 in Daill, Kilarrow Parish) to Toronto Ontario Canada in 1831. Trade was Tailor. Archibald (b: Mar 15, 1780 in Daill, Kilarrow Parish) to Snelgrove, Ontario, Canada in 1833. Trade was Farmer.

Two daughters - one died at 30 on Islay. The second relocated to the West Indies.
Daughter Martha (b: Gartloist Kilarrow Parish) M: Neil McPhee in Bowmore February 4, 1807. Martha died about 1815 on Isle of Islay at 30 years of age. Neil McPhee remarried and emigrated to Ontario Canada. Mary (b: about 1776, Daill, Kilarrow Parish) M: James Connely in Bowmore Dec 20, 1791. They emigrated to the West Indies.
