I recently came across a posting to the Chester County, SCGenWeb Biographies while browsing in search of another family. It was entitled "Scotch-Irish Migrations with Rev. William Martin, Names of Passengers from Ireland".There was a lengthy list of Surnames, followed by the passenger lists of five ships which came to S. C. in 1772-3.These persons received land grants in the interior of S.C.There were McKees and Agnews among the passengers, namely John/Andrew Agnew, Robert McKee, James McKee, Samuel McKee, Thomas McKee (2), William McKee.I have not found time to research this yet, but the time frame would fit into the McKees who appeared in Pennsylvania in the 1770-80s;also some of the McKees who settled in Ala., Miss. They seemed to disappear from S.C. about the time they appeared in the other states.I do intend to research this when I get a moment, but if anyone can get any confirmation on the above, please post to this forum so others can benefit from your info.Thanks.
