Jake, I have been looking for years for the parents of my 2nd-gr-grandmother, Mary McKee, who married Absalom Soverns in Coshocton County, Ohio 17 May 1818.The 1850 census for Cosh. Co., OH, showed Mary born in 1794, VA.That's pretty close to the year for your Polly McKee, and since Polly is a common nickname for Mary, I am REALLY curious about where Elizabeth and her children went in Ohio.Could it have been Coshocton County?Another interesting tidbit I received recently from a fellow Severns/Soverns researcher from the Coshocton Courthouse files: in the August 1814 term "John Soverans and Catherine Soverans his wife" sued Catherine Butler. "This suit is brought for saying . . .that Catherine Soverans was a . . .and that Defendant could prove it."Also in the same court term John and Catherine sued Polly McKee for saying the same thing . Both suits weresubsequently "discontinued." So how about it, was your Polly McKee in Coshocton in 1814-1818?
