Hi, Ovid. I believe that you are my first cousin. You, your twin brothers and your sister lived with my family for a time. I don't know if you guys remember us, but my brother Todd and I have been looking for you guys for a very long time. We are from your father's side of the family. I do not know the name of our paternal grandfather, but our grandmother's name on this side of the family was Betty Moreland. She passed away a few years back.
Many of us have thought about you often over the years, but were unsure how to find you and your siblings.
I never met your father, but met your mother several times. For a while, she attended church with us. You were in foster care when we first met you as a youngster. You and your siblings came to live with us for a couple of years. We loved you guys very much and our family was never the same after the four of you left. I remember you playing T-Ball in Johnstown, Ohio, where we all lived on West Jersey Street, then later on Main Street.
My mother's name was Louise. She passed away in a car accident not long after the four of you returned to live with your mother. You were the light of her life! I remember how proud we would all be of you guys as you learned new things. My brother Todd and I considered you to be our brothers and, in the case of Beverly, our sister.
Your father had quite a few brothers andsisters, some of whom I have never met. It is quite a fractured family, so I often feel like there are holes in my own geneology. It seems that our fathers each had a pretty tumultuous childhood and, in the case of my father, never really talked about their family very much.
Anyway, you have some aunts and uncles, including Karen, Janet and Jim, my father.
Please contact me when you get this; I would love to answer any additional questions. I currently live in New York.
