SAMUEL McKEE is a Lady Bountiful in the variety and extent of her charities.She is connected with many organizations, being first vice-president of the Women’s Christian Association and branches; president of the (pg. 436) Home for Aged Protestant Women, and also Temporary Home for Women, and chairman of the Sunshine Committee of the Western Pennsylvania Hospital.She was one of the founders of the Women’s Christian Association in 1861, and was active in assisting at the Sanitary Fair, and chairman of the Soldier’s Monument Committee, laying the cornerstone for the monumenton Monument Hill, Allegheny.She resides at the Kenmahr Hotel, East End.
