I am a friend as well as a "relative" to Linda McKee's husband. He and I share the same Ambrose McKee Sr.ancestor. I have known her for many many years as we have both worked diligently to research this family of ours, starting out with only afew names and have been very successful in getting documentation back to this ancestor "verified". She has the ability to take us much further because ,her husband, is the link to that research. He is the eligible DNA male candidate to be tested and to be compared to others in the MCKee DNA study as well as hopefully other ancestors "across the pond" as one would say. I would like to thank all of you for your comments and I have to agree that the more folks that are tested for this study,(especially since there are so many McKee's)it will help ,if nothing else, to sort and recognize which McKee belongs where in the genre of genealogy research. As to the gentleman ,who is obviously an educated scientist, I appreciate your input. However, one can recognize that you are within your right to have your personal opinions about such DNA studies or the validity of them in genealogy research. An since you are anti to being tested, by all means don't be. In the future however, since you have education in such matters, perhaps you can be more tolerant with thosewho are not so well informed on the matter. I also have a science background ,and it s a good start to identifying who we are and how we connect to each other. Good luck to all of you with your research..Look forward to seeing more information on the web in the future..
