Do not have my hard copy here at hand but the following can be verified on the 1850 Hardeman Co TN Census.I am subscribed to ancestry.com and can share that with you later if you are not..............
Living next door to Ambrose and Martha McKee and their children are the Whitbys (I always think Whitney but as I said hard copy not here).Lucinda's father was a Methodist minister if I am recalling true.
I have about a 40 page Timeline of Hardeman Co TN McKee early work I did that I will share with you.
Kay Hill Woods made the Panola Co MS discoveries.
I still think there were two Ambrose McKee of a close age between MS and TN.Not at all out of the question considering how many brothers there were that could have named a son Ambrose.
My McKee DNA research has gotten Leon McKee Sr and Jr McKee beyond the SNP M222+ and into M222's downstream SNP DF 97+.This yDNA is going back to before 1300 in Scotland. These McKee are allied with McGee back to a common ancestor before sometime around 1200 or even much, much earlier.yDNA research is still very much an ongoing happening. One researcher from Scotland recently commented the McKee were a very, very ancient lineage.
