Rhea, I can email you a copy of the will of John McKinley of Bedford Co. if you like. His will mentions daughters, Martha Hunter and her Hunter children and Elizabeth McKinley and her McKinley children, also mentions William McKinley and his son John but relationship is not stated. I also have a copy of the Draper papers concerning James McKinley. These papers were sent to Lyman C. Draper from Mr. Marshall who got that information from David Hunter, son of John and Martha (McKinley) Hunter. In the papers David relates how when he first met Simon Kenton and Simon tells David of his meeting with"we met your mother's brother James McKinley." And if you have the complete Rev War files for john Hunter there is a depostion given by Sarah (Overfield) Best who says she was a young girl when John and Marthy Hunter came to Mason co., KY and that they stayed with Martha's brother, James McKinley, who lived about a mile or so from them.Although there is nothing to say that James was a brother of Elizabeth, all other evidence points in that direction. Mainly the will of John McKinley of Bedford, the fact that there are land records in Mason Co. KY in which Oliver and his wife Elizabeth, along with John Hunter and his wife Martha recieved property from James McKinley and later as administrators of James estate both Oliver and John sold property that was originally part of James McKinley's premptive, which I believe is land that James recieved at a BLW. I have been collecting these papers for years, because my link to John McKinley of Bedford is weak I needed as much substantial evidence as I could find. So over the years I collected as much as I could. As far as the children of Elizabeth go most of what I have on them I obtained through John McKinley's will. All she had was daughters; Mary, Sally, Grizzell, Betsy and Nancy. I have tried to locate them (I believe that Grizzell is my ancestor who also married a McKinley), the only information I can find on the others is that Betsy prob. married James Flora in 1817 in Clermont Co., OH. She is listed as Elizabeth Flora on the 1840 census, as is her sister, Mrs (Grizzell) McKinley, in Washington, Clermont Co., OH. I am currently in the process of researching that area, but, other than census records, I can't find anything on them; no wills, deeds or other court records, only census and tax records. Let me know and I can email that will to you. I can also send the copies from the Draper papers but there are over 30 pages. And if you have copies of that church record concerning Oliver and Elizabeth I would appreciate it, if you don't have it then maybe you can tell me where I can get a copy.
