Anne, I'm going to answer you in part and then I'll get back with you later on the rest.
First of all, THE DICKSON, MCEWEN, AND ALLIED FAMILIES book by Austin Smith contains much information and documentation on the McKisicks of NC. It is not necessarily always accurate, but it's close enough.
Secondly, Daniel and Jane Wilson McKisick spelled their name with only one "s" for the most part. All the descendants have used the one "s."
Thirdly, Daniel's and Jane's migration from Lincoln County, NC to Bedford County, TN and then Jane's migration with her surviving family, after Daniel's and John's deaths in 1818, to Benton County, AR is well documented.Jane's sister married a Patton; also a prominent family in NC and TN.
Fourthly, Louisa was their youngest child, and she died, still a youngster, while they were still in NC.
Fifthly, there was a "Myrtilla" McKisick who was a granddaughter or g granddaughter of Jane and Daniel (I need to look this one up again). And there was an Isabella Matilda Dickson....a grandchild.
Sixthly, their children were 1.JAMES who married Mary Vance Greer (well documented), 2.JOHN (my direct line)who consorted with Rebecca Bonham, WILSON HARMON who married Theodosia Greer and migrated to TN and produced a son, Lewis David McKisick from whom I have a copy of a letter written to my gg grandfather; MARGARET, who married John Dickson;MARY, who married Ezekiel Dickson...ONE OF THEIR CHILDREN WAS ISABELLA MATILDA DICKSON.DAVID McKisick married Margaret Robinson.DANIEL, Jr. married Margaret Barry Henderson, and they were parents of Myrtilla Isabella as well as five others.JOSEPH married Jane Greer. The youngest child of Daniel and Jane was ELIZA LOUISA, who was born in 1797 and died about age eight. The above are not necessarily in birth order.I can give you dates of birth.
Seventh, Jane moved with her brood that was left to Benton County, Ar, and the rest of the immediate family died there. There are many descendants.
