Here's the additional information I have on Patrick McKown, born 1739, Glenarm, County of Ireland to Boothbay, ME in 1763 (age 24). He married Margery, (born 1737, dau of William Fullerton in 1767. Patrick died Jan. 24, 1779 (age 40). His widow married Rev. Ezekiel Emererson of Georgetown, a leading Presbyterian minister. After Patrick died his son, John age one and daughter, Nancy, age 3) were raised by Patrick's sister, Mary McKown Daws, wife of John Daws, a sea captain. The older children remained with Patrick's widow, Margery. During the Revolutionary War, plans for defending the town included the establishment of alarm posts, one of which was at the house of Patrick McKown. William McKown, the third generation, (William=2, Patrick=1)married Esther Reed, daughter of Joseph and Jane Reed. They had 10 children. Leonard, born June 16, 1840 was the 4th child. Leonard married Emma Fitch in 1866. Leonard resided in Bath, Maine and died in 1897. In Greene's book, there is no reference to children of Leonard, but perhaps Irving is his son. Hope this is helpful to you.
