Anyone know who is James B. McLin, white male, born in Virginia around 1855? I have a copy of James' death certificate from the State of Tennessee # 12245, file 23, Civil Dist. 10, Registration District #523. James died from paralysis and high blood pressure at age 78. Dr. Charles Marsh attended James from March 20th. to June 6, 1933. The informant on the certificate is Russel H. Beasley who was the undertaker. James was working as a clerk in a store, in Petersburg, Lincoln County, Tennessee, before he died. James died on June 6, 1933 and buried on June 7, 1933. Certificate states James was single and the informant did not know the name of his parents. I suspect James was alone, without family, in Petersburg when he died and the informant knew little of his background. No indication as to his burial site, but probably in Petersburg. I cannot locate James on any 1930 census. Informant spelled James's name McLin, but it could have been Maclin or Macklin.
