In the matter of proving the will of William Ellis late of Benton, deceased March 13, 1839.

Wisner Ellis all of Benton
Lazerus W. Ellis of Tyrone, Steuben County
Simeon Ellis
Bede Mackinwife of John all of Perry, Geauga County, Ohio
Abner ellis
Charles Ellis, both of Clinton, Lenawee County, Michigan
Caziah Randall
Lewis Randall, both residing somewhere in Michigan
Amos Ellis
Levi Ellis, both of Starkey
In the name of God Amen
I William Ellis of Benton in the County of Yates being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be allmighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz:
1st I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary the bed and bedding that she brot with her when she came to live with me, the bed that she has made since she has lived with me and sufficient bedding for the same, both for winter and summer, also her choise in any horse harness and carrige, on my farm and six hundred dollars in cash, the above sum and property are in Liew of her right of dower.
2nd I give to my Executors herinafter named to be by them laid out in land for the benefit of my son Abner five hundred dollars which land he is to have the use of as long as he lives and then it is to revert back to my sons Amos Levi Charles and Wisner to be Eaqually divided between them.
3rdI give to my second son Amos three hundred dollars.
4thI give to my third son Charles three hundred dollars.
5thI give to my 4th son Levi three hundred dollars.
5thI give to my 5th son Samuel one hundred and fifty dollars.
7thI give to my 6th son Lazarus W. three hundred and fifty dollars.
9thI give to my son Simeon one hundred dollars.
10thI give to my daughter Rebecca five hundred dollars
11thI Give to my Daughter Caziah one hundred and fifty dollars.
12thI give to mmy Executors hereinafter named for my son Wisner five hundred dollars to be laid out to them, as they shall think best for his benefit and that of his heirs-
13thI Will and order that the abo ve Legacies be paid to the respective Legatees within Eighteen months of my decease-
And also all the rest residue and remainder of my property both personal and real wheresoever found, I give to my sons Amos, Levi, Charles & Wisner to be Equally divided between them-
And Lastly I do appoint my beloved sons levi and Amos my Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will by me made-

Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named William Ellis to be his last will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto set adn subscirbed our names as witnesses in the presence of the testator.
