Thank you very much for this!I have very little in actual documentation of the McMasters family. All I really have besides what you have just given me, is another genealogist's contention that Isaiah Piggott, a Quaker, married Phoebe McMasters, daughther of the Rev. William McMasters, and that Isaiah got into trouble with his local Quaker meeting house over this marriage (understandable at the time). Also, the genealogist said that Isaiah was kicked out of Quaker unity a second and final time, whereupon he began making donations to a local Methodist church. The genealogist, Claude F. Pickett of Durham, North Carolina, was doing his work back in the 1970s, and postal mail to him was returned unopened, so I doubt he is still living.
I am very happy to have any documentation of these times. The Isaiah Piggot family is known to me, and I do have documentation of them. They changed their surname to Pickett and moved with many of their children to Emporia, Kansas. They are buried near that town.
Several people have written replies to my original query, and I'm sorry that 1) I apparently did not get notification of them, and 2) I haven't checked back because my genealogy was taking me in some other directions, in other words, I didn't check back.
