If you know her mother's name I might be able to help. Terence McSwiney (Lord Mayor of Cork - further anglicised 'McSweeney') had seven (surviving) brothers and sisters; Mary, Catherine, Peter, Annie, Eithnie, Bridget and Sean. Their father John, who was born sometime around 1835 in Cork, eventually emigrated to Australia, where he died (his death is still commemorated there). He lived and worked in London as a school teacher and married Mary Wilkinson, a Catholic Englishwoman, until a disastrous business failure with Mary's brother left them destitute. They returned to Cork where Terence was born.
