Debra -
Thanks so much for your answer. The draft card you have clearly belongs to my grandfather, although I'm surprised he was living in Ohio!He married in December 1916 in Mississippi and was there throughout the 20'sYes, please send me a copy of that card.I didn't know the month or day of his birth, either.
His wife Mina never renarried - always told people she was divorced. Thanks for the Dorothy McKinney obit - I was at that funeral. Now, there is only one sister left, in Clay Cty, MS in a nursing home.Does the census you looked at cover all states or only Mississippi? The family was living in Monticello, Arkansas in 1927 and moved to Ripley, TN after the great flood of '27.Mina Meacham and her 3 children were living there through 1930, then moved to Union City TN for the next 3 years.Otis stayed behind in Arkansas in 1927 to help with the flood.I thought he might have remained there without his family. He also had a connection to Mobile AL.Any additional help you can give is greatly appreciated.Bruce of OK.
