Yes, I found that Watchers was an excellent beginning, but has my line for Robert C. Coffman and his wife Elizabeth Keele terribly wrong, just as most all references I have found, and I'm afraid it is all because of this book I'm re-doing. The information originally came from an article written about Markham Marshall Coffman of McLennan County, Texas (no, not the son of David Harmon Coffman Sr., but the grandson, son of Robert). It listed the names of his children all jumbled up with the children of his brother, Josiah P. Coffman. I am writing a separate book about Robert C. and his descendents, but first want to correct it in "From Across the River". First things first.
I had not seen the info from Bobby Pierce before, which looks like great cemetery info to compare with the book text. And if you have first-hand knowledge of errors in Cornell's book, that is what I am most interested in setting straight at the moment.
I will be out of town for a couple of weeks, so if I don't respond to your sending corrections, please believe that I will want them very much when I return. Thanks for your help. Michelle
