Karen, Woud like to know in your databaase do you have any information on a Ruben Meck/Mack b.1835-1899- married Angelina Lentz . They live in Upper Paxton, Dauphin Co.PA HAd a farmette on what is now the Fenstermacher farm (1980)was the Messner farm. There is a Meck group in Millersville which had connect with back in the 80's which they said that they did have a Rueben Meck b 1859? they were sitting a brick wall. I thougt it was oddjust 15 minutes up the road from Upper Paxton lived a Reuben Meck/ Mack 1835- 1899 had a son John 1859 (my great grandfather).
My great aunt before she died said that there were two brothers came from Ireland who I found living in Hubley Twp, Schuylkill County, Pa one was my Reuben Meck. She said that they had 'words" and never spoke to each other again. They were both working on a farm.
I did find my Reuben Meck in Dauphin County living with a Samuel Lentz1860 Census has Reuben Meck teamster, with a son 1yrs -John (mine) Angelina Lentz was Samuel daughter.
Reuben Meck was in the Civil war for Dauphin County. In his pension records, they weremarried in Hubley Twp. Sch Co, Pa ,which I thought that was odd to go back to Schuylkill county to marry. What was so strong connection to do that? My great Aunt never mentioned any parents for Reuben.
Reuben was alway hard to find. He alway blended in with the crowd.
I did get a death reocrd on him hoping to crack this open. Who ever gave the finale information said that he was born Oley, Lancaster County.
On his pension records had Schuylkill County. Anyway, if you have any Reuben's and JAckson Meck /Mack names. let me know, Thanks, Sharman
