By chance is your photo of James "Jim" Medders and wife Martha? A son named Noah? They lived in Anniston.
I looked through your other messages. RE: TOLBERT
I have done lookups for two TOLBERT researchers. One was for Mike Tolbert (hotmail address), who you have corresponded with at GenForum. The other was Mary Hall (she used a Rome, GA library address). I have also researched for a local TOLBERT. Their lines do not connect that I'm aware of.
What all of you have in common is Floyd Co, GA, Cherokee Co, AL, and Calhoun Co, AL. My records show that Jacob Tolbert md. about 1818. His descendants lived in Floyd Co., moved to Calhoun Co., then some moved back to Floyd Co.
I don't have a John b.1883 but I have one without a DOB. I have John Wesley listed with 6 siblings. I have DOB's for all except John. There is a gap in births between 1879-1883. His mother died in 1890 and his father died in 1909. It's possible that the younger children were sent to live with relatives/friends/neighbors after the mothers death in 1890. If he is your John, this could explain why he was living with KEYS in 1900 census. It may also explain why you are having a hard time finding him listed with his parents in census records.
If you'll write directly to me I'll provide you with specific names, and a researcher who may be able to help further.
