There was a similar entry for October 1822: "Some time ago I began communicating with our William R. Carter researchers. One fellow sent me the info from Knox Co.,Tn re the marriages of a William Carter to Charity Baker 1801 and Peter Carter to Sarah Medley1805. Interestingly, these 2 Carters were also on the 1806 Tax List for that county, both in Captain Price's Company..along with a Richard Medley. (*I have also communicated with a John Medley researcher and will dig out that info...I do remember that they "came from Patrick/Henry Co.'s of VA..which border NC) I do not know which William Carter m Charity Baker, but one of our William R.'s sons named his first born dtr, Charity. I have attempted to find more on the BAKER family, namely a Baxter Baker, who along with Peter Carter, James Carter, William Carter, Sanford Carter(we know Sanford was a son of our William R.)Hugh Carter(my line..s/o William R.)...with James DUNN, several MEDLEY's .(Minute Bk 6 Oct 1822 of White Co.) "
