I would be interested in seeing the will of Moses Meers (who I agree was the son of William Meers of Forsyth, GA).Moses died and left a widow, Mary A. J. Meers, and four children:Nancy C., William F., Mary A. E., and Sarah E.(Refer to 1850 Pike County, Arkansas census, Isam P. "Lattemore" and Mary. A. J. "Lattemore").On January 2, 1849 in Montgomery County, Arkansas, Mary A. J. Meers married Isham P. Latimer, a widower with a number of children.Isham and Mary had four more children.
Isham P. Latimer had five sons who fought in the Civil War; one son, Lafayette F. Latimer, was killed at Chickamauga, and William Ross Latimer (my ancestor) was injured in the same battle. Three other sons fought for Texas Regiments (John A. Latimer, Isham P. Latimer, Jr., and Washington Pope Latimer).
Mary A. J. Meers Latimer's son, William F. Meers, a son of Moses Meers, was also killed in the Civil War.
I would love to share information about this family.
