[Fulton Co., IN] Alma R. Meiser July 9, 1918 – May 12, 2002 Alma Ruth Meiser, 83, Rensselaer, formerly of Rochester, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at George Ade Memorial Healthcare, Brook. Born in Fulton County, to Omer and Roxie Pratt Hott, she married Fairmont “Fred” Meiser Sept. 5, 1937, in Kewanna. He died Dec. 19, 1968. Mrs. Meiser, a homemaker, moved to Rensselaer in 1945, from Argos. She was a 1936 Star City High School graduate. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Rensselaer, and a 50-year member of Rebekah Lodge 346. She was a cook at Trail Tree Restaurant, Rensselaer, and at Rensselaer Care Center. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. Survivors include one son, Larry and wife Dula, Morocco; four daughters, Joyce Hoefert and husband Lynn, Columbus, Ga., Barbara Simonin, Grapevine, Texas, Mary Bertagnolli and husband Mark, Munster, Jean McNelly and husband Ray, Lakeland, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Preceding in death with her husband were her parents, one son, one grandson and one brother. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Jackson Funeral Chapel, 250 North McKinley, Rensselaer. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Rensselaer. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A Rebekah service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
