MURDER in SAN ANDREAS -- A telegram to the Sacramento ‘Union’ dated Feb. 24th, says that in San Andreas Saturday night, 23d Feb., at about 10 o’clock, the body of a man was found lying at the lower end of China street, in this place [San Andreas]. It proved to be the body of Geo. MELLUS, a miner from Central Hill. He was stabbed in the left side of the small of the back. The wound was about 3 inches in length and was done with a 2-edged instrument. The act was probably done by a Chinaman, as he had been in dispute with him for some hours, and the Chinaman was seen to draw a knife on him but was made to leave by a white man. A strong feeling exists against the Chinese, and they are required to produce the murderer within 5 days or leave the town.
