I almost missed this message, and I am surprised to read what you are saying. My Hale- Reynolds family group who claimed to be "Blackfoot" (as well as Shawnee and Cherokee) were from from the Blackwater area of Franklin County along the Maggodee Creek.
I am trying to find out if they were from some reservation in that area or from one in the West Virginia (Kanawha and Mercer County) area that they moved to in the 1890s and 1900s to work in coal mines and on the railroad. I was told they lived on a reservation at some point. I know they were made to work in rum distilleries and tobacco plantations both in Forsyth county North Carolina and in Virginia.
