This indenture made this twenty ninth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight between Thomas Menifee of the County of Morgan and State of Alabama of the one part and Thomas Cooper of the County of Anderson and State of Tennessee of the other part witnessed that the said T homes Menifee for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Samuel Cooper this ______ whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and by presents doth grant bargain sell alien and express and confirm unto the said Samuel Cooper his heirs and assignees __________ tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Anderson on Bull run Creek on the north side of the Copper Ridge bounded as follows: beginning on Reuses line old Menifee line on the old survey line with said line to Welfinlinger’s line with said line to Bell’s line thence with said to the old Enry Road with the road to Ann Norman’s line with the said line to Menifee old survey thence with the said line to the beginning.With all it s appurtenances whatsoever belonging on in anywise appertaining unto the said Samuel Cooper his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful title claim and demand of him the said Thomas Menifee and his heirs and assigns forever witness whereof the said Thomas Menifee hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.

April sessions 1828 this deed of conveyance for one hundred and fifty acres of land was duly proven in open court by the oath of Henry F. Marshall one of the subscribing witnesses thereto who also made oath the _____ Archibald Darwlin.
