Alonzo is not a Mesnard family name.Although the Mesdnards were French by the mid 19th century most of the the Mesnards had married 7 generations of pure or nearly pure English.Sallie's folks were different because they lived in a community of mostly PA Dutch.Alfred married Sarah Strickler and I believe Alonzo was a Strickler family name.If I remember correctly Sarah's dad was Henery and there were two probably unrelated Henry Stricklers in town. One family had an Alonzo in it.So that clears that up.
Sarah was born 11 Nov1816 one mile N. of Pleasantville, OH.Alfred was born on 24 January 1814 in NY. Alfreds parents were John Mesnard III and Pheobe Stockham, both of Greenwich CT.
It would take a great deal of work to figure out where they got to.Sallie was from pioneer stock and probably married the same. They could have gone to any fronteer and fronteers do not have the census. The older folk are often dead by the time their community gets the census.I have not tried to locate pioneers much closer releated to me than they are.
