I made a mistake in my last post. John Blaine was living with the Messamore's in 1900, so I suppose he had gone to live with them after his parents died. He was about 17 in the 1900 census. He was born 1886, so he would not be in the 1880 census. It was 1911 when he died --- he and Mary Messamore had 3 children by then, so I think he and Mary married shortly after 1900, although I don't know where. I did search Christian Co. marriage records and did not find the marriage listed. There may have been a seperate file for underage marriages and it is possible they were underage and listed in files that weren't published. I recently went to Tenn. and Ky. to visit but we did not have time to do any research. I am hoping to move closer to Ky within 2 years and will be able to research to my hearts content then. J.J.
