Margaret Emma Messenger, born Sept 20, 1922 in Newellton, Cape Sable Island, Shelburne County, NS, died Wed, April 25, 2012, age 89, in hospital at Yarmouth NS. A very gifted woman, she was a school teacher (mathematics and algebra) for many years, and had written 13 books on mathematical subjects (She taught me algebra in high school in the 1960's; I read her university thesis years ago, and it was brilliant).

Archelaus Smith married Elizabeth Nickerson and they lived out their lives in the Cape Sable Island NS area.
Survived by many nieces and nephews, Margaret was predeceased by a sister Ethel and brothers Melbourne, Walton, and Robert Messenger.
