After a busy period of research around the gravestones of Buckland Monachorum, Beer Alston, Meavy, Yelverton, Dousland, Walkhampton and Sampford Spiney; in an attempt to put images to events etc regarding all those seeking Tavistock details. Most of the 18th-19th C. families moved to pastures west and south. Those few who were buried or remained around the Tavistock area did not leave a lasting monument. All burials in the Tavistock Plymouth Road cemetery have no memorial, except and childs grave with two illegible initials.
