Jenny Miano 1900s New York
Hello All, I stumbled upon this and am happy it exists! Thanks to all those who made it possible. One question I have is the meaning or our unique surname.I had heard that Miano is derived from D'amiano. Can someone confirm and expound on this for me please. Also, I spent a fair amount of time tracing my lineage and know that a Jenny Miano came to New York in the early part of the century but never married. She kept her given name but did have children (Robert and Carl).Carl then had my father (Robert M) as well as James and Gloria. So I could go back only two generations.ALthough Robert Senior is alive he has not divulged much to me about my great grandmother Jenny.Any help on this would be most appreciated.I will book mark this site for future correspondences.
Thank You!!
Joe
