This should be somewhere on this Michael board...but, here we go again:
"Peter & Anna Helena MICHEL of Germany [Hassloch] Descendants of Their Sons - Ulrich MICHEL & Maria Margaret (RIEMER) & Jacob MICHEL & Anna Margretha (SCHERER)"
Ulrich settled in Wernersville, PA. and his brother, Jacob, in Ruscomb Manor Twp., Berks Co. PA.They came on the "Snow Lother" 14 Oct. 1731, into Philadelphia, PA.
This book is 638 pp. hard back bound in blue withgold stamped title. It comes in line of descent theentire way down generation by generation ofdescent to my GG Grandfather whose families are in the next volume ---
The other publication - "Samuel MICHAEL, SR. & Appellonia (KNERR) [my ancestors] & his 2nd wife, Elizabeth (BROCIOUS) - Their Descendants"it is 714 pp. thick and done exactly same format, color, etc. as above. They were in Northumberland Co. but came to Jefferson Co. and settled around Ringgold, PA. area.
No other lines were traced so take note!!!!
Both volumes contain extracts of Court House records, Wills, Estate papers, Legal suits, photo's,stories handed down thru the generations such as the attempted "robbery" of my Great-Grandfather and in which my own G. aunt was threatened, and my very own grandmother was shot at, etc. The actual newspaper accounts, jail sentences given to the men who did it,photo's of bullet holes in the home, etc. Very interesting reading!
And BTW - all has been non-profit thus far as Icertainly have more $$$$$ in it than what I'll ever, ever get out of the sale of the publications!! Many, many years of research went into this works clear back into Germany with extracts of "actual church records!"But, "love" of genealogy outweighs $$ rewards!!
