Sorry but we cannot accept "Mishy". I like Gordon's explaination with the ch as in Loch Ness (lock). This give the ch a hard sound but does not say if the "i" is as in Mickey Mouse or My key. I can tell you without fear of error that it is pronounced as "Mickey" in Michie, TN (where my father, grandfather, gg and ggggrandfather were born). It is also Mickey to Michie Tavern in VA. That makes about 400 years of "mickey" and I'm sticking with it. Only at WestPoint have I heard Mykey and we'll let them continue to be wrong. But the "mishy" bunch has to change. We can be democratic and vote on it, but I hope they will just take it peacefully.
